Mr. Robert Pope, Jr. was born November 12, 1953, in Columbia, South Carolina.  He was the youngest child of the late Robert Pope, Sr. and Marie Martin Pope.  He departed this life on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at his home.

Mr. Pope was educated in the public schools of Richland County, South Carolina and graduated from Eau Claire High School. He retired from Allied Chemical/Honeywell after twenty-eight (28) years of dedicated service.

Mr. Pope was baptized in 1982 at the St. Paul Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina.  He enjoyed fishing and racing his cars.

Mr. Pope was preceded in death by his parents, Robert, Sr. and Marie Martin Pope; sisters, Grace P. Macon, Shirley P. Hatten, Mary P. Casey, and Betty P. Battee.

Mr. Robert Pope, Jr. leaves to mourn his passing: his companion, Tammy H. Dickens; daughters, Touya Pope and Oneka Pope James; sons, Robert Pope, III and Javier Pope; sister, Barbara P. Dixon; three grandchildren, all of Columbia, South Carolina; nieces, nephews, many other loving relatives and caring friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
