Mr. Vernon Dean Trapp was born in Richland County, South Carolina on March 25, 1965 to Sonnie Trapp and the late Vivian S. Trapp.  “Feet,” as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was the youngest of eight children.  On Wednesday, March 3, 2010, he departed this earthly life and was called home from the Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

He was educated in the public schools of Richland County, South Carolina.  He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Blythewood, South Carolina.

“Feet” was employed with M. B. Kahn Construction Company for over eighteen (18) years as an operator until his health declined.  He received the Safety Achiever 25 Star Award in 2008.

His smile that lightened up a room and his hearty laugh will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Vernon Dean “Feet” Trapp leaves to cherish his precious memory: three sons, Pasanté Theanzo, Chad Demario, and Jayden Vernon, all of Columbia, South Carolina; his father, Sonnie Trapp; two sisters, Carolyn Denise Trapp and Delphine T. Covington, both of Columbia, South Carolina; four brothers, Clyde Vincent (Rena), of Eastover, South Carolina, Sonnie Maurice and Ernest Dwany, both of Columbia, South Carolina and Dillard Bentley (Barbara), of Elgin, South Carolina; one grandchild, Chad Demario, Jr.; a niece, Ebony Simons, who was raised as a sister; his special friend, LaToya Jones; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends, all of whom he held close to his heart.

Vernon was a son, brother, father, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, cousin, and a friend, but above all he was God’s child.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ervin Trapp.
