**********

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:   Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day:  and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

                                                                                     II Timothy 4: 6-8

On Friday, March 5, 2010, God dispatched an angel and told the angel to go to Palmetto Richland Memorial Heart Center to get him a choir member, a missionary, a Pastor’s Aide, and a Kitchen Staff Member.  He found a woman who was ready for duty.  That worthy woman was Mrs. Eloise Frazier.

Eighty-one (81) years ago on January 30, 1929 in Blythewood, South Carolina, God said it’s time.  I knew you even before you were in your mother’s womb and I ordained this day for you to come forth.  So something great and miraculous happened in the Blythewood Community.  A beautiful baby girl was born.  Her parents, Ollie Mae and James named her “Eloise.”  The little community that “Eloise” grew up in with her Aunt Mary was small but very loving, caring, and close knit.  That’s where she learned to value family as well as friends.

Some years later, in her early life she moved to Columbia, South Carolina.  There she continued those values of family love and hard work as she labored as a housekeeper.

Mrs. Frazier met and married Aaron Frazier.  She had one son, “Jerry.”  She assisted in helping other children where and when she was needed.  No grumbling or complaining, just thanking God for the opportunity to let others see His glory through her.

Mrs. Frazier was a faithful and chartered member of thirty-three years of Gunter’s Chapel Baptist Church, Columbia, South Carolina, under the leadership of Pastor Lewis Gunter.  She was a member of the Gospel Choir, Pastor’s Aide, Missionary, and Kitchen Staff.

Mrs. Eloise Williams Frazier leaves to cherish her precious memory: a loving and devoted daughter-in-law, Delores Williams of Columbia, SC; two grandchildren, Veronica Williams of Columbia, SC and Bernard (Arlene) Williams, of Blythewood, SC; five (5) great-grandchildren; two loving nieces, Wanda (Michael) Stover of Hahnbach, Germany and Betty Jean Hills of New Jersey; two nephews, James “Bubba” Hills of Ridgeway, SC and John Hills of New Jersey; one stepsister, Mrs. Gwendolyn Moon of Columbia, SC; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Emma Taylor, NC, Ms. Willie Mae Hills, and Ms. Florence Harris, both of Columbia, SC; three spiritual daughters, First Lady L. E. Gunter, Mrs. Mildred Harris, and Ms. Helen Brooks; a host of nieces, nephews, many other loving relatives and caring friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Frazier; her son, Jerry; grandson, Aaron; sister-in-law, Lula Mae Hills and three brothers, James, Paul and Joe.

With love and gratitude we are forever thankful for this simple, loving lady who loved God, her family, friends, and others.
