Ushered in by the Angels on Sunday, July 16, at the blessed age of 97, Dorothy Mildred Alexander Brewer went to her heavenly home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, the Reverend Louis C. Brewer; her parents, Dangerfield and Ethel Thompson Alexander. Dorothy was a faithful and dedicated First Lady, serving with her husband at several Baptist Churches. She was also a kind and gentle spirit, and a loving mother who often said her children were a “gift from God for her old age”. She is survived by six of her seven children; Drs. Samuel C.
