Columbia – Funeral services for Dr. Joe Bellinger Glover will be held Saturday at 12 noon in the Greater Faith United Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the St. John Baptist Church Cemetery, Cameron, South Carolina. Viewing will be held Friday beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the Leevy’s Funeral Home, Taylor Street Chapel, Columbia, South Carolina.
Joe Bellinger Glover was born in Cameron, South Carolina to the late Emma Glover Hagins and the late Eugene Bellinger on April 1, 1934. After high school, he entered the Armed Forces and served for 21 years. Upon retirement from the military, he worked 12 years for the Federal Civil Service. Joe Glover departed this life on Saturday, April 15, 2017. He was one of 17 siblings. He was passionate about the Radio Broadcast Industry in his production of programs for KJNP in North Pole, AK. His programs were heard in various states and countries abroad. He was an active member of his beloved church, Greater Faith United Missionary Baptist Church. Joe Glover graduated from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks and Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Glover is survived by his wife, Irene Glover, of 54 years; four children, Lois, Pamela, Robert (Kumiko) and Helen; grandchildren, Tonya, Olivia and Terrence; and great-grandchildren, Montrell, Tavon and Makena. He is also survived by a host of siblings, cousins, nephews, nieces and loving friends.
