I didn't know him well but just by all the people that are hurting it definitely has made a big impact of the city of Columbia. I have only heard great things about this guy and I'm sure his memory will live on and strong. ###LLIG

I would like to express my deepest sympathy in the loss of your beloved family member. When a loved one dies, it causes so much pain and sorrow. Because our loving God Jehovah created humans to live and not to die, “He has even put eternity in their heart” ( Ecclesiastes 3:11a ), he understands the deep emotional pain death causes. But you are not left alone to cope with your grief and sadness. Jehovah God gives you comfort from his word the Bible. Scriptures that can comfort you are found at Psalm 34:18 which says: “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit”. He has also promise at Revelation 21:3,4 that sickness and death will be removed and our loved ones will have the prospect of living on a paradise earth in perfect health by means of the resurrection (John 5:28,29). To learn more about these promises please visit our website: jw.org click Bible Questions Answered, Life & Death.

I would like to offer my condolences for your loss. I hope you will find comfort in knowing that Jehovah, the God of all comfort, will soon eliminate all grief and provide permanent consolation when “all those in the memorial tombs will hear [Christ’s] voice and come out”! (John 5:28, 29) God promises that “he will do away with death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” (Isa. 25:8) Then, instead of having to “weep with those who weep,” all earth’s inhabitants will “rejoice with those who rejoice.”—Rom. 12:15.
