My prayers are with you Valencia and Ron during this difficult time. Your mother was a wonderful woman and set a great example. She was proud of her family, and expressed her love and pride. May the Lord strengthen you, comfort you, and give you peace. Cherish the wonderful years with your mother. Continue to live a life that would make her proud...and extend the Westray legacy in this world. God bless and keep the Westray family.

I would like to offer my condolences for your loss. I hope you will find comfort in knowing that Jehovah, the God of all comfort, will soon eliminate all grief and provide permanent consolation when “all those in the memorial tombs will hear [Christ’s] voice and come out”! (John 5:28, 29) God promises that “he will do away with death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” (Isa. 25:8) Then, instead of having to “weep with those who weep,” all earth’s inhabitants will “rejoice with those who rejoice.”—Rom. 12:15.

Dear family, I am sorry to learn of the loss of your loved one. May Jehovah God's promise, by means of his son, Christ Jesus (John 5:28,29), will awaken all those asleep in death, bring you comfort at this time. With many tears of joy, you will welcome your dear Virginia back (Psalms 37:11,29).

My condolences to the family. Losing a loved one in death is one of the most difficult things that can happen. But be assured that our creator, Jehovah God understand how you feel. There are scriptures that can soothe and comfort those who need comfort. Psalm 147:3 says; He (God) heals the brokenhearted; He binds up their wounds. Also Isaiah 25:8; He will swallow up death forever. And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces. Condolences to your family. One may think we will all be forced to confront death sooner or later. Its painful sting has caused many people to search for answers. Why did Jesus compare death to sleep? What can we learn from resurrections recorded in the Bible? Does death end it all? https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/wp20140101/death-is-not-the-end/

The loss of a cherished loved one is the most devastating experiences a family can face. At times, the loss may seem unbearable. Please know that there are family and friends who care and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that "God is near to those that are broken at heart. He is the God of all comfort. God will comfort you during this difficult time of grief. Our prayers are also with you and your family.

It was Mary McCloud Bethune who once said 'The true worth of a race must be measured by the character of its Woman.' Sister Westray ' s life truly personified this renowned educators quote! My perception of the world will be eternally changed for the better by knowing Sister Westray. An educator myself, I truly admire how this wonderful woman of God dared to be different, dynamic, radical....yet amazingly real & genuine! Valencia, Ron, & grandchildren....what a legacy to carry on & cherish! As these moments continue to become memories...may God continue to be with each of you as you reflect, remember, & pay homage to her radiant spirit!
