My condolences to the family of Mr. Hopkins. When death claims a loved one, it grieves the heart. Our loving heavenly father and his son Jesus understand the pain you feel. Jehovah God's son (Jesus) died, and Jesus friend Lazarus died, in fact Jesus gave way to tears ( John 11:35) this confirms that they know what you are going through. But Jehovah and his son do not leave us without hope or comfort. Psalm 34:18 says; Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit. At John 11:25 Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life.” Meaning he has the authority from God to resurrect those who have fallen asleep in death back to life in the very near future. May these scriptures bring comfort to you during this sad time.
