Mrs. Esther Mae Martin McKenzie

Mrs. Esther M. McKenzie was born August 2, 1930, in Lugoff, SC. She was the daughter of Daisy Martin and Robert Wood. She departed this life on Monday, June 14, 2021, at her home. Mrs. McKenzie was educated in the public schools of Kershaw County, South Carolina. She dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1967. She regularly pioneered and helped others to come to know and love Jehovah. She was preceded in death by: her husband, David McKenzie; brothers, Freddie Mickle, Jim W. Martin, John H. Martin, Carl Martin, James Wood, Robert Wood, and Robert Nelson; and sisters, Wilhelmenia Martin, Ruby Williams, Mary McKenzie, Eleanor M. Gilmore, Hannah Wood, and Eunice Wood. Mrs. Esther M. McKenzie leaves to cherish her precious memory: one son, David McKenzie, Jr; five daughters, Rita Cancer, Debbie Cornelius, Shirley McKenzie, Christine Pouncie, and Bettye (Gary) Clark; one brother, James (Melissa) Martin; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended spiritual family, and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
