Ms. Edith Elaine McDaniel

Ms. Edith Elaine McDaniel, 64, of Columbia, South Carolina, was born January 9, 1957. She was the daughter of Earl J. and Edith M. McDaniel. She entered her eternal journey, Saturday, July 17, 2021, from her residence in Columbia, South Carolina. Elaine was educated in the public schools of Richland County, South Carolina. She graduated from Dreher High School, Class of 1976. She worked for many years and retired from the University of South Carolina. Ms. Elaine McDaniel was baptized at an early age and joined the First Nazareth Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina. She enjoyed reading the Bible, conversing, having fun, and cooking with family and friends. Although Elaine did not have biological children of her own, she had a host of loving nieces and nephews whom she cherished. Elaine was preceded in death by: her parents, Earl J. and Edith M. McDaniel; brothers, Melvin and James McDaniel. Ms. Edith Elaine McDaniel leaves to mourn her passing: an aunt, Mary Lee Moore; her siblings, Sherion McDaniel, Greg McDaniel, and Mary Jane Hoefer; nieces and nephews, Jaquita McDaniel, Richard McDaniel, Avery McDaniel, Tiara McDaniel, Kiara McDaniel, Helene Hoefer, and Toni Faulkner; sister-in-law, Amy McDaniel; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and caring friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
