Mr. Robert Lee Reed

Mr. Robert Lee Reed was born on June 28, 1932, in Columbia, South Carolina. He was the youngest child of the late Gus Reed and Birtha Triplin Reed. He departed this life on Saturday, July 24, 2021. Mr. Reed was educated in the public schools of Richland County, South Carolina. He worked as a heavy wheel mechanic at Industrial Alliance, until becoming a Welder at Richardson Construction. He retired after many dedicated years of working. Mr. Reed was baptized and joined Ridgewood Baptist Church, in Columbia, South Carolina. He enjoyed fishing, checkers, and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Gus and Birtha Reed; his daughter, Regina Reed; a brother, Raymond L. Reed; and a sister, Mattie Lee Reed-Williams. Mr. Robert Lee Reed leaves to mourn his passing: eleven sons, Rodger Reed, Larry (Venessa) Reed, Robert, Ronald, Randy, Michael (Stacey) and Ricky Quattlebaum, Robert (Tammy), Vincent (Cheryl), Rodney, and Rory Gallman, all of Columbia, SC; four daughters, Barbara Ann Reed, of Philadelphia, PA, Gwen (Donald) Penn, of Baltimore MD, Regina (James) Hingleton, and Teresa Harris, both of Columbia SC; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and caring friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
