Mr. Wade Manley Goodwin was born Sunday, March 19, 1961, in Columbia, South Carolina. He was the son of Emma Huggins Goodwin and Frank Goodwin, Sr. He departed this life on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Wade was educated in the public school system of Richland County, South Carolina. He was a longtime member of Ridgewood Missionary Baptist Church, and had a love for serving the people in the community. He was full of laughter and conversation. His favorite catch phrase, when he communicated with friends was: “You know what I mean.” This would be repeated almost after every sentence (LOL). He loved talking about sports, talking on the phone, and had a very sharp memory of the people he grew up with. He had an amazing quiet spirit, and was greatly loved by everyone. He was a longtime worker as a waiter for a catering company in South Carolina. He took his job seriously and felt that no one could out do him at his job. Mr. Goodwin was preceded in death by: his father, Frank Goodwin, Sr.; his mother, Emma Huggins Goodwin; and five brothers, Ernest Wagner, Major “Doc” Wagner, Pete Wagner, Tyrone Goodwin, and Ross Goodwin. Mr. Wade Manley Goodwin leaves to mourn his passing: two sisters, Romana N. Goodwin, of Columbia, SC and Maria M. Goodwin, of Bronx, NY; three brothers, Wiley Wagner, of Charleston, SC, Daryle Goodwin and Minister Franklin Goodwin, Jr., both of Columbia, SC; nieces, nephews, cousins, many other loving relatives, and caring friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
