Ms. Sharon Rosetta Hudson was born to Franceta (Ivy) Redway (deceased) on January 6, 1967, in Kingston, Jamaica.  Sharon was 54 years young when she passed peacefully away at her home in Columbia, SC, on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.  She was surrounded by her husband, Wayne, her sister, Pam, and her confidant, Theresa Deleon.

After leaving Jamaica at the age of eight, Sharon moved with her siblings and their mother to Hartford, CT, where she spent the majority of her childhood. Sharon moved to Fayetteville, NC, in her early 20s., There, she had her three children, whom she cherished more than anything in life.  Sharon’s caretaker spirit drew her to become a Home Health Aide and certified Nurse Assistant. Sharon loved her job and worked in both Fayetteville, NC and Columbia, SC, where she spent her days and nights taking care of others. Outside of work, Sharon enjoyed spending her time with her close lifelong friends, Jacque, Tennille, Antoinette, Feeberry, Sharon, Loycie, and Virginia, making memories and enjoying life. Through her journey, Sharon faithfully enjoyed fellowshipping with Charity Members, a prayer group from Hartford Connecticut on the prayer line each morning. Along with her prayer group, Sharon leaned on her Aunt Nellie, Aunt Valerie, cousin Tamika, and Mama Theresa to keep her spirits up.

Sharon was full of life and laughter, a selfless, generous, loving woman always willing to go out of her way for others. Sharon held a special place in her heart for all her grandchildren who lovingly called her Nana. They all were her pride and joy.

Ms. Sharon Rosetta Hudson leaves to cherish her memory and life: her husband, Wayne Hudson; her three children, Paul Kent, Shanice Niecey Smith, and Sean Kent, all of North Carolina; her sister, Paula (Pam) Smith, of Maryland;  her brothers, Nigel Roberts, of Connecticut and Len Redway, of Florida; eight grandchildren, Maliyah, Kylar, Paul III Tre,  Kruze, Graycyn, Cali, Angelina, and Laia; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends, all will miss her loving spirit and laughter dearly.

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:39

    Cousin Sharon:
You fought this battle — the Heaven needed ‘another’ sweet-smile.

I am still ‘frozen-with-thoughts’; but, know — ‘you are loved’.

Sleep-in-Peace; until we ‘greet’ again. ✨🙏🏾✨😇
