  6. At my first basketball practice at Benedict as a freshmen. I mistook this gentlemen assiting coach Partlow as maybe an asst. coach.Upon ending the scssion that same gentlemen metericulated his way over to me intimating how much he loved my game and that he would convey to Partlow to play me at the 2 position. I did give much contemplation regarding the complimentary piece much then. Until i bore witness to Arnold playing himself just few days later. I told him years later how he was the first person that me me actually realize and take stock in what was possible. So yes he was a brilliant spirit. We covered the gammit in wordly verbage. I consider myself both blessed and fortunate to have met his acquaintance. I met with him several times when we both resided in Atlanta. I was again blessed by Glenn Gardner from Jersey to reconnect me with him while he was still in new york after his accident. In closing when the pandemic reeked havoc, he relayed to me he returned to S.C. to die with his family. Additionally in our last converstions he conveyed that he was in a good place in his life. I will forever hold on to those convictions as well as his voice mails. Rest in power my brother ive struggled since hearing the news reminding myself how we just talked only weeks ago and txt me for jerry booker # To the family you should be proud of your loved one as Arnold was one the most loyal, compassionate spirits i have encountered in my lifetime They dont make that model today anymore. I have witnessed him helping soooo many people. I will grealy miss our deep conversations. Bless the family but i will see you on the “other side”

  7. On behalf of the 1070-73 Benedict College Varsity Basketball Team, I as its captain, extend heartfelt condolences to Arnold’s family and friends. It is without questioned he was the best player on our team and arguably one of the all time best players to ever attend BC. His superior understanding of the game enriched everyone who played along side of him and left our opponents in awe of his game management skills. Truly he was born to be called COACH. Rest In Peace my brother knowing you legacy will never be forgotten by your Benedict Family.

  13. It is hard to say goodbye to someone who you respect and admire. But death is everyone’s reality.
Arnold was that type of person. We met on the campus of Benedict College in 1971 and we have been friends ever since. Rest In Peace my brother until we met again. George Worsley
