Mrs. Vivian Celestine Olds Lamb
Mrs. Vivian “Nana” Celestine Olds Lamb, originally from Norfolk and Chesapeake VA, peacefully transitioned from this life Monday, March 14, 2022, in the comfort of her loving home surrounded by her immediate family. She was born May 6, 1930 (91) to the late James and Marjorie Elliott-Olds in Norfolk, VA.
As a conscientious student, Mrs. Lamb graduated from Booker T. Washington High School of Norfolk, VA a year earlier than expected. Mrs. Lamb spent numerous years as a cashier and mother figure to many at Overton’s Super Market in the Berkley area of Norfolk. Later, she was a loving daycare teacher at St. Thomas Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lamb gave her life to Christ and was baptized at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church and later joined Rising Sun Baptist Church, both in Norfolk, VA. Her affiliations included the Missionary Society, Trustee Board, Choir, and Usher Board Member. Until she relocated to South Carolina three years ago, she was always active in her church.
Nana, as she was affectionately referred to by family and friends, enjoyed talking, listening, entertaining, traveling, sewing, spending time with family, and watching television. Over the years, she took hundreds of pictures which she lovingly would show off to anyone interested. Nana opened her heart and doors to everyone who entered.

Lamb Sr.; sons, Linwood K. Lamb Jr. and Lionel R. Lamb Sr.; sisters, Earlene O. Williams, Beatrice O. Munden, Helen O. Scott, a brother James H. Olds Jr.

It was a privilege and honor to know “Nana.” She always had a warm and inviting smile. Her smile made anyone who met her want to know and love her. Our family fell in love with her from the very first time we met approximately twenty-five years ago. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers!
We extend our love and prayers to the family of our dear Nana. She was such a wonderful person who would always open up her heart to welcome others into her family which was a blessing.
