  1. I saw on Facebook that today was Sherrie’s birthday and I wondered how she was. Then found out that she passed away. Blessed Ascension to Sherrie. We worked together in the insurance industry for a while and were mutual admirers of each other’s fashion sense. She was always kind and smiling. Each time I saw her after working together it was always with a warm hug. Prayers to her family. I know she is resting well.

  4. To the family of Ms. Sherrie Murdock,

Please allow me to offer my most sincere condolences on the transition of your loved one.

Working with Ms. Murdock at Benedict College in the Financial Aid office was a pleasure. I remember our days talking about her beloved Gamecocks, the Funeral Industry, and her love for golf.

I will miss her at Benedict College’s homecomings, where we would catch up and laugh about our past experiences.

    May She Enjoy the Ancestors!!!!

  8. My sincere condolences to the family of Sherrie whom I have known since elementary school. We were classmates from 1st thru 6th and she was always one of the smartest in the classroom. But I was blessed to see and speak with her briefly when she was in the office where I worked downtown Columbia about 4 or 5 years ago give or take.

  14. To the family of Sherry Ann Smith Murdock:

I hope this message finds you surrounded by strength and compassion. Sherrie was loved by many, but know that she is going to a place of peace and that I am sharing in your heartfelt sorrow.
Sherrie was not only my BFF and colleague but also my sister in Christ. I will never forget the time we spent together. I have many cherished memories of Sherrie. Here’s one I will always remember when she invited me to attend Wednesday night bible study at Brookland Baptist Church. She said, if you can’t make it on Wednesday night we have bible study at 12 noon. Her favorite snack before bible study was a doughnut (from KK). It was a joy to be in her presence. She always made me laugh. Sherrie will always be in my heart. The outpouring of love from family and friends is a testament to the life of Sherrie Ann Smith Murdock.
Because of you (Sherrie), I laugh a little harder, cry a little less, and smile a lot more – Author unknown

    With deepest sympathy,
