  18. William and my son were in primary school together and if memory serves me correctly played soccer together too. Over the years I ran into Valerie at several school, sport, and celebratory events. She was always someone I would make sure to catch up with if I saw her in a crowd because she had such a huge smile and easy laugh! I was so saddened to hear of her passing but I immediately envisioned her big smile and laugh where she would kind of cover her mouth and bow her head then rock back like you had said the funniest thing on Earth and she was just going to fall over. I will miss her infectious enthusiasm. William and the rest of her family and friends will be out prayers.

  22. Valerie was a very kind soul with whom I had the pleasure of working at BCBSSC. Her passing has left a void that will be tough to fill. May her son, Will, know how deeply proud she was of him, and may her memories bring peace and comfort now and in the times to come. I miss her, and it’s hard knowing that we’ll never work together again, but we will be reunited again some day.
