To the Romey family, Words cannot express the hurt felt hearing the news of such a beautiful leaving so soon. Lil Punkin always even though she was an adult. Her smile just will never leave your mind and pleasantness always the same. No matter how she felt physically or mentally. Marie, “Punkin” affectionately known by her mother, Mother Romey, was a sweet & kind soul. She was truly loved. She will be missed.

My, my, my….no words can express how I feel. Pandora, Simone, and Marie…3 peas in a pod at CAJ. We majored in fun and laughter every day and the years thereafter. Coming home to the Homecomings and reunions, we would get together and continue our laughter. I remember when you shared your illness with me the first time. But this last time in Charleston last year was a big inspiration for me and I called you and told you how happy you made me feel hearing your testimony. Girl I am going to miss you dearly but I know we will see each other again in heaven. Sleep on, get your rest. I love you but God loves you more ❤️.

It is hard to believe that Marie is no longer with us. We grew up together in Meadow Lakes. She was always friendly and had a beautiful smile. We spoke during the time she was taking care of her mom and she still had that same laughter and smile as she did years ago. My condolences and prayers to Mrs. Romey and the family. Gid will take care of you!

Not only were you a great friend to me you were the best godmother to Cali, she didn’t want for nothing even when I told you sometimes she didn’t need anything. Those weekly conversations, texts, and cooking me dinner gonna be missed. I know you are at peace now and you wouldn’t want me crying but this is hard. I love you and miss you so much.
