I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your father, my dear Uncle Gerard. Please accept my sincerest condolences during this difficult time.
Uncle Gerard held a special place in my heart, not only as a family member but as someone who touched my life in meaningful ways. His unique ability to blend empathy with humor was a rare gift. His comedic insights not only made us laugh but also provoked deeper reflection, leaving a lasting impact that I will always cherish.
I am grateful for his selfless leadership and guidance throughout the years. His wisdom in distinguishing right from wrong and our insightful discussions on politics, where he played the role of a seasoned political analyst, were moments I truly valued. His ability to engage in meaningful conversations while sharing his wealth of knowledge was a testament to his character and intellect.
As we mourn Uncle Gerard’s passing, let us also celebrate the incredible legacy he leaves behind. He will be remembered fondly for his wit, wisdom, and the positive influence he had on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Please know that my thoughts are with you both and your family during this time of loss. May you find comfort in the cherished memories you hold of him.
With heartfelt sympathy,
My condolences, sympathy, and prayers to the family. I remember the first time I met Uncle Gerard after marrying his nephew. The first thing he asked me with a huge smile on his face “are you ready for this family?” He burst out into a hearty laugh and I knew at that moment and was correct decades later that he loved to laugh, joke, and was ALWAYS smiling that made me smile. He lived life and all of the comments I have read about his personality and character is 100% correct. I will miss your warm smile, jokes, laughter, and more importantly you who loved life, family, friends, and God! Rest in peace you have earned your wings.

To the Family: God is the Joy and Strength of your life. He moves all pain, misery and strife. He promised to keep you never to leave you. He’ll never ever come short of His Word . You’ve got to fast and pray, stay in this narrow way. Keep your life clean every day. You want to go with Him when He comes back! Gerard went with God when He came back for him! You come too far and you’ll never turn back! GERARD knew that God was his all and all.

Our deepest condolences to the family of Gerard Peeples. It brings to memory when the class of 1965 gathered in 2018 for our 53rd Butler High School class reunion. As usual, Gerard was a class leader and there had been no change over the prior years as he assumed the leadership responsibilities for the reunion.
Rest in peace, Gerard.
I send my condolences and deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Gerard Peeples.
Gerard and I were co-workers at McCorey-Liston Elementary School in Fairfield County. He played the piano with a lot of enthusiasm. He had a great personality and a great sense of humor. He would call to say hello and talk about politics. He loved talking about his girls and grandchildren. He often would say hi soror, because he was a fraternity brother to my sorority.
Gerard will be solely missed. May he rest in peace.
Sincere condolences to Gerard’s family. I was saddened to hear of his passing. We worked together in Fairfield County. Gérard was a very jovial, caring and concerned person, not only for his students, but everyone he had contact with. He will certainly be missed..Rest Gérard, Rest!
My sincere sympathy in the loss of your beloved Gerard. I was so sorry to learn of his transition. He was a cherished and dear friend of mine. We spent many minutes on the telephone discussing current political events. We also shared tons of laughter and jokes. My prayers are with the family. May the peace of God be with now and forever more.
To the family of Mr. Gerard Peeples.
Gerard was a co-worker with me for several years at Geiger Elementary in Fairfield County. I always knew who he was and how very good he was.
I always enjoyed the interactions we had at school, meetings, and other occasions. He was so very knowledgeable, committed
to everyone, pleasant and loveable.
He was an encourager. This made a difference in my life. I will be forever thankful.
In learning of his death, I was taken back to things that we talked about many years ago. I could only say thank you, Gerard. You had my back. You saw in me something very beautiful. I knew that I had a good friend.
There was only one Gerard Peeples that could bring smiles to every face in the room. He will truely be missed.
May he rest in peace and God hold you all in the palm of his hand.
To the family. Gerard and I met our freshman year at Claflin University in August 1968. He had recently been released from the military. He was our Freshman Class President. Our class jellied so well together, and made a difference in the livess of those we came to know and appreciate during our walk in this journey of life.
After our graduation from Claflin our paths took different directions
In November of 2022 at Claflin’s Golden Class Reunion for the Class of 1972 we were fortunate enough to reunite with many classmates after 50 years. Gerard was among that group. It was as, though we had never parted.
Since that time, we would have many conversations. Just three weeks ago, he mentioned that he grew up in Barnwell, SC a few miles beyond a dear relative of mine that i have frequently visited over the years. That brought about more for us to share as to just how small this world is.
The memories of a life time have come and gone. The lives he has touched and all the goodness that he shared as one of God’s disciples.
For Gerards living will not be in vain. May he now rest in peace.
To the fa
mily my condolences. Absent from this body is to be present with the Lord. Gerald was my best friend. May the Lord watch over you as a family and keep you safe. Alamora Henderson
