  1. Dr. Washington and I worked at Alcorn Middle School. I scheduled her class of students (special needs) to come to my science laboratory. She ensured that happened. Her classroom was just two doors down on the same hallway at Alcorn Middle. Staying with her students when visiting the science lab, I received her feedback about my lessons and I provided follow-up activities for her in the classroom. We became a strong team.
Some folks say “its a small world,” but more so, I believe that God places people in your path all through life purposefully. For example, not knowing her maiden name was Hutto til later, I had taught her nephew in hometown of Denmark. Not only that the superintendent, Dr. Wright, was her brother Harry Hutto’s best friend. Her brother Harry, of Atlanta help raise my son, Clarence. I in turn shared in the raising of his children while in Abbeville. God makes no mistakes, and if we just talk to our brehern and serve the Lord faithfully, as did Dr. Washington, we will understand by and by. I am so blessed that Dr. Janice Washington came by my life at school and by my family too. Amen. Dr. Washington, an outstanding cohort.

  7. So much to say about such an incredible woman. From the first time I met her, she had a big smile on her face and embraced me with the best genuine hug. I remember Charissa, her daughter-in-law, telling me how blessed she was to have such a great mother-in-law. I immediately understood When I met Mrs. WASHINGTON. She loves out loud, and Godโ€™s light shined greatly through her. She loved Charissa and the girls so much. I am forever blessed by Mrs. WASHINGTON. Forever in the arms of Christ and forever loved.
