To the family, you remain in my prayers. Thank you, Pop Morant, for sharing Mother Morant and your family with your extended kids from Benedict College. I’ll miss your humor during our visits, our card games, or even just watching sports together. May you continue to rest in God’s love and peace until we meet again.

Maxine, my heart is with you, the children, and grandchildren during this time of loss. My late husband and Percy shared a lifelong bondāthey grew up together in Holly Hill, worshiped together at Target AME Church, and carried that friendship with them when they moved to Columbia. Those memories, and the moments our families spent together, will always be deeply cherished. Please know that you are surrounded by our love and prayers. We love you dearly.
Condolences to the Morant family. As a child, I truly enjoyed being in the presence of my dad and Mr. Morantāthere was always joy and laughter whenever those two were together. May God grant you comfort and strength during this time of bereavement. Mrs. Maxine, please know that we are praying for you and your family.
Mr. Morant was “cool” and his smile brightened up the room. I wish I would have known him prior to his time at the VA when he was living his life. I enjoyed working with him the last 15 years and he will be missed.
To our cousin Percy, Sr. We will miss you but we know and understand that God knows best. Sending prayers of peace, love, and joy to our family during this time.
