  1. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time, May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. Memory is a way of holding on to the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose. Mrs. Cook was a very sweet and loving neighbor. She was also good friends with my mother Mother Estelle Sharp and precious aunt Catherine Stephens who was also a nurse. May the peace of God comfort you through this journey.

  5. Me: Heeey Auntie…lol
    Her: Hey There!
Me: I don’t know it might not work
Her: It may work, you just have to try and see.

    Always optimistic and positive.

    My Dear Sweet Auntie,

While I know that death is the circle of life you will truly be missed. You’ve left your mark here with your family and we will continue to carry that in our hearts. Well, my next trip home I will miss bringing you food from the NO NAME DELI. You know that was our thing…LOL. You ALWAYS took care of other or made sure that they take care of themselves. That went beyond you being a nurse. You are now at eternal rest and peace along with your family that went on before you.

Family, continue to carry her love and her smile. The days ahead will be up and down but GOD got each and everyone of us as we moved forward in life without her physical presence. I pray that GOD warps HIS loving arms of COMFORT around ALL of us like ONLY HE can.

    Love You Auntie

  6. Good evening Shon, Arjay, and Jonathan,

I can imagine your hearts are so heavy due to the lose of your Grandmother, Mrs. Cook.

God will see each of you through this period of pain and will provide you with the love, comfort, and understanding to know that your Grandmother has no more pains or worries now.

She is in Heaven resting safely in the strong, loving, and caring arms of Jesus.

Allow your memories with her to help ease your pain!

We love you and your Mother,

    Faye Glasgow Jennings and Family,
    Your Great Aunt

  7. Our sincere condolences to the Cook family. Ms. Rubell and my mother (Ms.Viola Smith) were nursing colleagues as well as friends. She was always soft spoken and kind, there to help others at any time. I’m sure she’s up there talking with my mother and Aunt Pie catching up on things. Rest in Peace Ms. Rubell your work on this side is done.🕊️🩷🙏🏾The Smith Family

  14. I will always remember my aunt for the care she gave to others and the love she showed to our family. She dedicated so many years as a nurse at Richland Memorial Hospital, helping people through their hardest moments—something that truly reflected the kind of person she was.

Some of my favorite memories are the cookouts at her house, where we could all come together, laugh, and feel at home. She had a way of keeping me on track and making sure I did the right thing, and I’m grateful for that guidance more than I can say.

It brings me comfort knowing she is no longer in pain and is finally at peace. She will always be loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.

  16. She meant so much to my mom. They talked every single day—sometimes more than once—about everything: cooking, what was going on in the world, the weather, our kids, her family… just life.

My mom would even do her shopping because she didn’t enjoy it, and that just shows the kind of bond they shared.

She was truly the sweetest, full of life, and so easy to love. I know her absence leaves a deep ache, especially in my mom’s heart.

Sending love and prayers to all who loved her 🤍
