  9. To: The Bowers Family.
We grew up together in Riverview Terrace. Mrs. Bowers’ nurturing, extended across the street to us. And to Leon, when he desperately needed it as an adult. We are so grateful. Our prayers are with you all as your mother transitions to God’s abode.

  11. Rest peacefully, Ms. Bowers, the “LADY WITH INSURMOUNTABLE CLASS”. Your presence at RCDSS as a Foster Parent was most helpful and respected by our vulnerable children and staff.
Ms. Bowers was always available and capable to provide assistance to our children whenever the children needed emotional care and protective housing. I adored and admired Ms. Bowers then and I do now. Ms. Bowers’children have my upward prayers and support for continued family unity. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🤎🙏🏾🙏🏾

  35. The Simmons Family and myself, Deidre Simmons Dunlap and my Husband Frank Dunlap, Jr. send our condolences and sympathy to the Bowers Family during their bereavement of their Mother / GrandMother. “Ma Bowers” as she was affectionately known was loved by all that knew her and when me and my children met her, she embraced us with so much love and so did all of her Children and Grandchildren which was one main part of the foundation she raised all of her Children on and engrained into her family’s hearts, LOVE.
Over the years during our many visits and family gatherings, before me stood a short and small framed woman physically but she exemplified a very Beautiful, Strong, Hardworking, Loving and Supportive Matriarch who held her own and kept her family together. When she spoke, she spoke her Truth and God’s Wisdom while faithfully serving and loving the Lord.
It is said that “A Mother’s wisdom is the compass that guides her Children through life.” And this is one of many things Ma Bowers left as part of her Legacy .
We love You and You will most definitely and truly be missed but never forgotten
