Mrs. Daniels was a co-worker of mine for many years and was one of those rare persons whose personality didn’t change due to external circumstances. She displayed gentleness and kindness in all her interactions with others, peers and subordinates. I often share a story she told me about taking an elderly relative who didn’t drive all over Columbia and the conclusion of their adventure all she wanted to do was hurry and go home after being out all day. When she reached her relative’s home, she was offered $5 for gas. Mrs. Daniels said no she didn’t owe her anything but the relative insisted on giving her the money twice saying cars don’t run on air. Finally, Mrs. Daniels said the only way that she was going to get home, and rest was to accept the $5. She took the money and when her relative walked off Mrs. Daniels heard her mumble. “People charge you for everything these days.” True to Mrs. Daniel’s patient and warm personality she burst out laughing in joy when recounting the story. May the many precious memories you created over the years help to comfort you during this difficult time. Also, may your trust in our loving God serve to sustain you in the coming days.
Our love and Prayers to the family our condolences that God selected a jewel to return home for a time we will meet her again
I am so very sorry for your loss. God bless and comfort your family in your time of need. Blessings always.
