e grateful to Deacon Kearse for the many lessons on life he shared. We never grew tired of his stories and will never forget how protective he was of us as members of First Calvary Baptist Church. Whether it was making sure we got to the National Baptist Congress first class or standing guard during the youth retreats and sleepovers, he was always ON IT! We miss you Deacon Kearse! Family, we will be in touch.

  12. The members/soldiers of the South Carolina National Guard will forever be indebted to MSG Kearse. He was a wonderful leader and mentor. He was fair and respected for his great leadership abilities and yes we love to hear his stories because he was so articulate. He taught a lot of young soldiers who are now older, wiser and retired (like he did)because of him. He will forever be a person that I was glad and proud to have met. Thanks to his family for allowing us to be taught by such a wonderful man. Retired SFC Beverly Sumter Brooks, SC Army National Guard….take your rest MSG Kearse😥🥰
