  19. To the family of Dr Elizabeth Brown Holmes,
It was difficult hearing that your mom and sister had transitioned. I fondly reflect the many beautiful memories we shared sitting on my porch reciting poetry, meals in our kitchen and naps in the family room in Alabama. Be comforted by the outpouring of love surrounding you and may your heart and soul find peace and comfort in the love of Jesus. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. Her place has been prepared for her. Take your rest Mrs Holmes, my friend and my deepest condolence to each of you that she so dearly loved.

  21. Cookie (Phyllis), Ecole and the entire Holmes Family:

Sincere condolences are sent to each of you on the passing of Mrs. Holmes. We served as co-assistant principals at W. G. Sanders Middle School in Richland One. We also shared the same birthday. We used to have a “tug of war” on who would keep the newspaper for July 14th. 😊; as if we couldn’t go to the local newsstand and purchase one. That was one of the ways we celebrated together. Mrs. Holmes was a compassionate educator who was a champion for every child. May the entire family find God’s peace and strength in the days ahead as you cherish the fond memories made with Mrs. Holmes.
