Roz, Vickie & Maxine, the Peterson family matriarch,
as we are a month beyond the unexpected transition of Tyrone, the many who knew him will miss his friendly and calm demeanor .
I thought it spoke well of his character, in particular , as many of the former students
& of course his fellow staff of Brockmam Svhool, were in attendance at his homegoing service on that Tuesday at noon.
Tyrone had that type of magnet personality. He really was a good guy as his cut buddy Rodney captured the essence of who Tyrone was to those of us who knew him and admired him as well.
His life here with all who knew and loved him may have been considered “gone too soon”, but
our Father has each of our “dash” already in the Lamb’s Book of Life” and knows all about our life’s destiny. ..
as “Thy will be done!”
Family, as we revere the life that he lived, and the many memories we all have of him, know that he lived it his way and enjoyed his time among family and friends.

Your legacy will live on through each of us. His laughter would light up the quiet hallways, the building had to be spotless, he was forever omniscient of what was going on and he will be missed. He touched our lives and this was hard to believe when received and in sharing with our personal Brockman Bear graduates, families and colleagues of the past & present.
Thank you, Mr. Peterson for being in our history from the beginning of Brockman Montessori until your retirement and forevermore, you fulfilked your final earthly assignment!! We celebrate you.

I worked with Pete for 16 years at Brockman. I still can’t imagine visiting Brockman and not seeing him! I retired before Pete and as I was packing my many years of memories, Pete asked about my window that had been hanging behind my desk for many years. It had a beautiful poster of a gorgeous beach, which was my mental escape in a windowless room. Pete asked what were my plans for the window and I asked him if he wanted it? Of course he did!! The window was gone when I visited the next time and I knew he would love it like I did! We talked about gardening and cooking, shared many of my cannas with him and some recipes, too! Such a special man and a good man and he will be missed very much by family and friends! God speed Pete and may your travels always be heavenly!

Vickie and Roz, we were shocked to hear of Tyrone’s passing. He and your dear mother were like family to us, and Tyrone was a wonderful help to my mother June, especially in her later years. We will always remember and treasure that. I am keeping you and your family in my prayers for comfort and strength in the days ahead.

After getting the news,I just sat there and cried.
Memories from when we were in our teens to adults flashed through my mind. We had so much fun together and my heart smiles when I remember those good times.

Mr. Peterson was an amazing man. I was a student at Brockman over 10 years ago. Mr. Peterson never failed to ask me for a chocolate cake- I think he probably had 15 in total! He made me laugh, he made me excited for school, and he made my classmates and I feel safe and seen everyday. He will be so missed and forever remembered. He impacted my life and I am so grateful to have known him.

So sorry to hear of the passing of your brother, Tyrone. We can’t make your heart heal but please know prayers are offered during this difficult time.
My heart is heavy but I know his family’s hearts are heavier. I worked with Pete at Brockman. We started together and retired together. We use to call him ” Bishop Know- it- all”. He knew everything that’s was going on at that school both in the building and all the people who worked there. He knew everything that was going on in the district too! He made the best cheese cakes and jazz music! Pete had a special bond with many of the staff. I was lucky enough to be one of those people. I carry in my heart the Pete I knew and cared about. I know Pete is in heaven and has reunited with those that went before him. He has seen the face of Jesus and is rejoicing with the multitude. I am, also sure he is keeping an eye on those he had to leave behind. I’ll see you later my friend. God bless you as you walk in your eternal home.
