Mr. Bernard Bright, 60, of Columbia, South Carolina, was born November 12, 1960. He was the beloved son of Johnnie Mae Bright. He departed this life peacefully at his home.
Bernard graduated from Columbia High School, before enlisting into the United Stated Army. He served with the 82nd Engr. Bn. He was recognized by the U. S. Army for his honorable service with several ribbons. After leaving the Army, he worked at Dick Smith Motors.
Bernard was loved by his family and friends; and he shared his love by doing whatever he could when possible. Bernard loved to fish in his spare time.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Johnnie Mae Bright; two brothers, Napoleon Bright and Donald Bright; and a sister, Deborah Bright. He will be deeply missed.
Mr. Bernard Bright leaves to cherish his precious memory: his four sisters, Gwen Bright, Betty Bright, and Loretta Jones, all of Columbia, SC, and Janice Hallman, of Little Rock, Arkansas; two brothers, Ronald Bright, of Washington, DC and Robert Melton, of Columbia, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, many other loving relatives, and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
