Our sincere condolences to the Murray family. Bobby was a little older than I, but he was always nice to me. His family, good people! From Ronald and the Davis family of Edisto Court.
To the Murray family, it’s little painful for me to know that Bobby is no longer walking, talking with us on this earth, but presence will always be with me. Bobby, Bernance and I grew up together in Edisto, a close – knit community in it’s vibrant years. Bobby had a competitive spirit and he played to win. He was a very willing to lend a hand or be the hand when ask. One would rarely see Bobby without his twin brother. Bernance ( Little Brother ), Ted ( Big Brother) and the Two Sisters just hold on to God’s unchanging hands.
My prayers and condolences to the family of the late (Rip) Bobby Murray. I remember Mr. Murray from my school days at A.C. Flora HS. He was always kind and respectful to everyone.

Sending heartfelt condolences to the Murray family. Mr. Murray gave me the opportunity of becoming a richland one employee over 20 years ago and still currently working. I just recently spoke with him in September as we normally would when school opened each year. He always instilled in me to never settle for the now but always reach for the stars no matter what came by way. Mr. Murray always would say how proud he was of me and expressed it dearly. I surely will miss our quarterly conversations.

Bobby Murray we were family, I grew up watching him and his brothers play basketball in Henley Home. His mom was the babysitter for my daughter over Forty years ago. And when he saw me later on he offer me a job as a bus driver. He hired me. He was always professional. He truly was a great brother.
To the Murray family: I am sadden to hear of the passing of Mr. Bobby Murray. He was my bus supervisor and hired me over 40 years ago. Although our paths never crossed since those early days at AC Flora High School, I never forgot about Mr. Murrayโs words of encouragement especially when faced with other challenges.
Driving a school bus was not an easy feat especially for a teenager with a bus load of energetic students. Mr. Murray would not let us give up since failure was never an option. He was truly a great leader and treated his bus drivers with respect and dignity both males and females. We became a very close group of drivers and could rely on each other with a great leader guiding us along the way.
Now there were days when Mr. Murray would meet with us in the little trailer for a Murray pep talk but it only helped to mold us into better drivers. Mr. Murray did not tolerate any foolishness and being tardy on our bus route was unacceptable unless our bus didnโt start. He was one of my first male mentors outside of my family and I will forever be grateful for the positive experience! May God comfort the Murray family during this time and always!
To the Murray Family:
Sharing condolences & reflections with the Murray family at a time such as this.
The transition of your loved one was a shock to many of us who knew Bobby over the years.
My early memories were that of neighbors growing up in the Historic Waverly Community
when our family lived across the street from the Murrays. They lived at 1008 Tree St
& we were directly across at 1017 Tree St..
They later moved to the Edisto Court area and our paths crossed once again as we all attended the Historic Booker T. Washington HS.
Bobby & his twin brother, Bernace played basketball
on the 1968 championship team under the legendary Coach William Partlow. They played with the likes of Sam Sumter, Sam Oglesby & the iconic Leon Benbow, to name a few players.
Bobby also, multi-talented, played football as well- #76.
As life would have it, we grow up & move into careers that suit us. Bobby rose through the ranks at Richland School District One and became Director of Bus Transportation, of which he was very successful and earned many accolades before his retirement from the district.
Bobby will be remembered as a quiet & dignified man of many talents.
May he rest in peace and power.
To The Murray Family
Wishing you peace and comfort.โค๏ธ

My condolences to Mr. Bobby Murray family. He was a nice man he will be truly miss. I pray the Lord will comfort the family and everyone who knew him. He is now resting with the Lord.
Sending my deepest condolences and love to all of you. May God be with you in your time of grieving and rap His arms around all of you. Your brother and uncle was a great friend to me and my family and we will always cherish each moment that we were able to share with him. My granddaughters grew to love him just like he was their grandfather and my grandson loved him as well. We will miss him so much. We love you Mr. Murry and we will always remember you.
Love Your 1926 B Family,
Myra, Mikayla, Nala, Kingston, and your little TooToot
