  1. Though over a year has passed since Brother Rob has passed and I am just receiving the word, my heart really hurts. I had not seen or heard from Brother Rob since 1995 in Panama, I still have vivid memories of a truly good Brother. To read that he became my Omega Brother also, really touched me. Truly a Brother gone to soon. May God continue to heal and minister to his family.

  2. What a loss. I had the opportunity to serve with and learn from Demont in peacetime and in war. He was a true professional who left us all way too soon. He led through his example, actions and deeds. He made us all better and inspired us to be the best versions of ourselves. He loved being a Soldier as much as he loved leading, coaching and training Soldiers. It has been said that Soldiering is an affair of the heart. That came through loud and clear in all Demont did. He will be missed.

  12. We met Demont twice over a two day period in 2021. Individually and collectively, we came to the conclusion that he was genuinely “a cool dude” with well-developed self-awareness. He was jovial, considerate of others, spoke his mind in a way that was honest and yet not hurtful and was the kind of person that you could easily call a friend. We will miss him, but his memory will remain with us.

Sincerest condolences to the family, Marissa our niece, his loved ones and friends.

  14. SGM (R) Demont Roberson was that rare military leader who let his own actions and personal example – inspire and set the standard for others. Those of us who served with Demont are forever grateful for his leadership and friendship. General George S. Patton once said, “The highest obligation and privilege of citizenship is that of bearing arms for one’s country.” Demont Roberson served his country with great courage and honor. He was a great Soldier, leader, friend, and teammate. My sincerest condolences to his many close friends and family members.

  15. Demont was a real “human being” to the Soldiers in his charge and to everyone who knew him. I was fortunate to serve alongside him at Fort Bragg and in Iraq. He was caring, funny, sharp-minded, and gentle-hearted….the kind of man we all should strive to be. My heart goes out to his many close friends and his family. God speed!

  20. You’ve always been a genuine, solid, consistent brother. We had a lot of great laughs. Though we didn’t talk all the time, we made up for it when we did speak or see each other. We always ended our conversation with tears of joy and laughter because we both always had a story to tell in the most hilarious way. I’m glad to have shared those moments with you my brother. Every time you introduced me it was by name and then with the saying of, “Tre the baddest man with an razor.” I appreciate you my brother. My condolences and prayers are with your family and loved ones as they get through life without you here in the physical form.

  34. WHEN WE WEAR THE GLOVES
By Brother Dr. Carver A. Portlock

    When we wear the gloves
A brother has gone from our midst
    And sailed to golden shores.

    When we wear the gloves
A friend has passed the final test
    And walks through purple doors.

The circle has an empty place
A voice will raise no more
The song of fellowship and love
    Uplift forevermore
    When we wear the gloves.

    When we wear the gloves
A light goes from this earthly life
    The visor closed again
Yet all the heavens open wide
To let a new star in.

    When we wear the gloves
A brother leaves the chapter roles
    And moves to other worlds
For when we say our last goodbye
He walks on streets of pearls.

    When we wear the gloves.

    R.I.P my Friend

  62. Friend, Brother, SGM, Demont R. Roberson,
You have been one of the most respected men I have ever been blessed to have know. From the very first moment we met and worked together (2011) at the AG School you were and inspiration to all who came to know you.

When you first shared with me your interest in becoming an Omega Man in Jan of 2012, I was delighted to invite you to attend our annual Hooping for Hopes Basketball Game and introduce you to the Brothers of Chi Iota Iota. Following that day, you would go on to become a Brother respected by everyone you met and serve as our 16th Chapter Basileus. (A Goal to shared with me 9 months after crossing at our 2d Council Meeting in Charlotte, NC December of 2014).

Brother Roberson, while our friendship have been both professional and personal, our mutual respect and bond have be unconditional/unweaving.

To your family, friends and brother, I pray that each of us can find the healing of God’s grace in the moments and memories that we all shared. While we are only here for a short period of time, the most import part are those that we love and what we do for others. You have been a role model for so many of us and your legacy will be with all of us forever.

My prayers and thoughts remain with your family. May they continue to find healing in God’s word and you find rest in his arms.

    Much Love,
    Brother Bauldrick

    We thought of you today.
    But that is nothing new.
    We thought about you yesterday.
    And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
    We often speak your name.
Now, all we have are memories.
And your picture in a frame.
    Your memory is our keepsake.
    With which we’ll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our hearts.

We are sending prayers and thoughts to you and your family. May God’s presence and love help you through.
