Ms. Edna Mae Butler was born on March 12, 1944 in Columbia, SC. She was the daughter of Charles Butler, Sr. and Nannah Belton Butler. Her journey ended on Thursday, November 4, 2021.

 

She attended the public school system and graduated from C. A. Johnson High School. She enjoyed being with family and friends, making them laugh. She was the life of any crowd.

 

Edna was preceded in death by:  her parents, Charles Butler, Sr. and Nannah Belton Butler; three sisters, Shirley D. Smith; Harriett Butler, and Geraldine Butler; and one brother, Raymond Butler.

 

Those left to cherish Edna’s legacy of love and caring: daughter, Floria Springs; son, Marvin L. Peoples; granddaughter,  Raveen S. Springs; brother, Charles Butler, Jr.; sister,  Barbara  Croskey; sister-in-law, Caren Butler; brother-in-law, Bill Croskey; two aunts,  Carrie Mae Able, Ridgeway, SC and Nancy Exam, of Washington, DC; two uncles, William Belton and Andrew Belton, both of Washington, DC; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
