Mr. Felix Cooper was born on May 27, 1946, in Mayesville, South Carolina. He was the sixth of seven children born to Enoch Cooper and Fannie Luceal Rhodes Cooper. He transitioned to his heavenly home on Thursday, June 17, 2021. Felix’s early educational experiences began at Goodwill Presbyterian Parochial School. He also attended and graduated from Eastern High School, Class of 1965. He continued his education at South Carolina State College, majoring in Animal Husbandry. Felix was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. During his life’s events, he was a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, a teacher in the Chicago school system, and retired from the Chicago Transit Authority. He was also a Leather Craftsman, and could make anything big or small. Felix became a member of Goodwill Presbyterian Church, at an early age. After relocating to the Columbia, SC, he became a member of First Nazareth Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Linda S. Mitchell Cooper; his parents, Enoch and Fannie Luceal Rhodes Cooper; his brothers, Enoch Cooper, Jr., James Arthur Cooper, George Cooper, and Nathaniel Cooper; and a brother-in-law, Melvin Outen, Sr. Mr. Felix Cooper leaves to mourn and cherish his memory: his sisters, Linda M. Bachelor and Rita Kelliesteen Outen; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and caring friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
