Sorry to hear about the lose of Mr. Walker. He was the person anybody would want to be around. I pray that the family find comfort in days to come.
My condolences to the Walker family during your loss. May the Creator strengthen you during this time of sorrowππ
My condolences to Berta and her family. God bless you during this time.
My deepest sympathy and condolence to the family.I first met Mr Walker as a 13-year-old kid with my friend Larry Walker his son. He was like a second father to me sharing his knowledge and wisdom. As the years went on, I joined the military every time I came home to visit my parents. I would alwaysΒ go see Mr Walker we would talk for hours always sharing his knowledge and wisdom with humor. The last time a visit with him he was in nursing home. This was after hisΒ second wife had passed, his memory was starting to fade. I can actually remember the year but it was November. They were having worship service in the cafeteria area. I sat slightly behind him in eye contact with each other. Every once in awhile he turned around he looked at me. As if he thought he knew me but didn’t say anything. So as the service ended I got closer to him and askΒ do you know who I am? He looked and smiled like he was slightly unsure. When I said my name Alfred McKiver, oh big glowing smile came over his face. It gave me great joy that my second father figure still had wisdom and kindness to share.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:13β-β¬18 KJV
