  5. “JA” was a life long friend of my husband Roy Johnson. They went to school together with their other life long friend, Joyce. He had a heart of gold and would always visit and bring a goody bag even after my husband died. In fact he had brought me and Joyce the sweetest yams I ever had in my life. I cooked them for Thanksgiving. One year we had a bet on who made the best collard greens, of course, he won. He was the most kind individual and is going to be missed by everyone. My condolences to the family. I will only have great memories of him.

  7. I will truly miss my cousin. He had a heart of gold. When he moved to South Carolina, he was driving his mother before she passed and she told him he better back up so she could speak to her cousin, which was my mother, after that he would visit her just about everyday. He did so much for my mother when she was living. My deepest sympathy to his children, especially Tonya. I am so sorry that I can’t make the services.
