Mr. John Fitzgerald Reeves

Mr. John Fitzgerald Reeves was born August 6, 1963 in Columbia, South Carolina. He was the youngest son of Alberta M. Reeves and Julius Wyman. He departed this life on Monday, May 31, 2021. Mr. Reeves was educated in the public schools of Richland County, South Carolina. He graduated from Columbia High School, Class of 1981. He furthered his education at Midlands Technical College. John worked as a truck driver for many years, and most recently employed with JB Hunt. Mr. Reeves was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church of Irmo, SC, where he served as a member of the Trustee Board, The Lay Ministry, the Parking Lot Ministry, Gospel Choir, and the Sons of Allen. John was proud to be a Prince Hall Mason, where he served many roles and obtained many titles. The Past Master of Corinthian Lodge #11 was the title he was most proud of. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Alberta Reeves, and Julius Wyman; his brother, Morris and adopted brothers, Kenneth, Charles, Michael, and James Reeves. Mr. John Fitzgerald Reeves leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Lisa Burroughs Reeves, of Blythewood, SC; brothers, Marvin A. (Deborah) Reeves, Marcus Reed, and Jacques B. Reeves; sister, Valerie Reeves; adopted siblings, Sandra R. (Reverend Harry) Davis, and Cherryl L. Reeves; Theron, Woodrow, Reeves, Gerard Reeves, and Randy C. (Patricia) Reeves; two sisters-in-law, Ericka Burroughs (Frank) Fournier and Carolyn Reeves; three uncles, James (Roberta) Eskew, John (Reverend Elaine) Eskew, and Henry (Julia) Wyman, all of Yemassee, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, great-nieces, great-nephews, other loving relatives, and caring friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
