He’s just asleep!
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
Rest well Bro, I’ll see you when you get up
I would like to offer my sincere condolences, prayers, and love to the family and friends of John Otis Ramsey during this time of bereavement.
From the day I met John, I found him to have a heart of gold behind the exterior tough soldier that he posed to the public as “Rambo” and “Sargent.” Serving his country in the Army made him a proud soldier. However, serving his students as a ROTC Instructor at Lamar High School gave him a greater sense of pride, purpose, gratification, and a feeling of success! However, none of his life accomplishments compared to the love and pride that he had for his family, especially his three girls!
Over the years it was obvious that John was a very caring, loyal and dedicated individual. He always talked about his love for his family, students, and friends. John always did as much as possible for all of them
who needed. He demonstrated this in several ways. From giving students lunch money to grilling for his budddies and ordering his girls basket for Valentine’s Day. This showed the kind of man John truly was.
John and I became special friends many years ago, and we remained special friends until the very end. John will truly be missed by all who knew him. I pray that my friend and I will reunite again someday in Heaven! Rest in peace my friend, your purpose was well fulfilled! 🙏 l ❤️
I will continue to keep my promise to protect your daughter and grandbaby! I love you, pappa John until we meet again
