Mr. Β Johnny Samuel was born on May 16, 1932 in Fairfield County, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Joe Samuel, Sr. and the late Eunice Peters Samuel. He transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at his home in Columbia, SC.

 

Johnny was educated in the Richland County School district, at an early age.

 

In the early 1950s, Johnny met and married the late Susie Bell Jones Samuel-Daves. Their union was blessed with nine children.

 

Johnny worked at Allied Chemicals for nine years. He drove Blue Ribbon Cab for a number of years until he retired. Johnny enjoyed socializing and fellowshipping with family and friends.

 

Johnny was preceded in death by: his parents, Joe Samuel, Sr. and Eunice Peters Samuel; sons, Johnny Jr; Greg, Larry, Russell, Anthony, Angelo, and Johnny Dotson; daughters, Betty Jean Samuel Wise, and Robin Samuel Miller; brothers, Joe Jr, Thomas, and Brice Levi; sister, Lois Samuel Walker.

 

Johnny leaves to cherish his memory: daughters, Cheryl Favor, Kimberly Chatman, and Stacey Roberts; son, Titus Middleton, all of Columbia; brothers, James (Rosena) Samuel, of Columbia, SC and Ross Samuel, of Quebec, Canada; Charles (Fannie) and Samuel Roosevelt (Eliza) Samuel; sisters, Dorothy (Eddie) Etheridge, Β Juanita Samuel, Carol Samuel and Christy Cain, all of Columbia, SC; 116 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
