I knew Dr. Randolph, Lonnie,as my and my granddaughter’s optometrist, a civil rights leader, a volunteer, and a friend.
I was most impressed by his support of young people aspiring to become optometrists.
We have lost a fierce fighter for what is right.
May he rest in peace.
My deepest condolences to Pat and family
Lonnie was a good friend. We grew up together and attended the sane high school along with his sister Phyllis. He was my eye doctor at one time. We would laugh and talk about old times and almost miss the exam. To Pat my condolences to your family.

I met Dr. Randolph when I was Director of Mental Health Services at the SC Department of Corrections & he was providing vision care to inmates. I was trying to establish better mental health treatment for inmates and facing some strong political headwinds. Lonnie took time to talk with me and offered so much insight. He gave me inspiration and hope. And he became my friend. I will always remember his support and kindness. Lonnie, you will be missed but I know you are basking in God’s Glory.
My deepest condolences to the Randolph and Reuben family. Dr. Randolph and I were classmates at Benedict/ Class of 72. He was always a very nice and pleasant person to be around. His presence will be deeply missed. His Legacy will forever be in our hearts. May the Good Lord give youComfort, Peace and Strength during this difficult time.

I was so proud of Dr Randolph. He was always willing to stand up against discrimination; whether it was for his race or his profession. So many people go thru life not taking a stand.
Lonnie also knew what is was to be a friend and to help other people.
I was glad to see in recent years Lonnie was the recipient of several awards honoring him for service to his community and profession.
I know Pat is glad to see Lonnie finally able to rest in peace even though she and the family will miss him greatly.
I am glad to have known him as a fellow Optometrist and appreciate his contributions to our profession.
May your family have God’s blessing during this difficult time.
Kindest personal regards,
Dr. Theron ( Pete ) Smith , Optometrist

Dr Randolph and his wife, Mrs. Pat would come in and order a banana that they would share, they did this often, I thought it was so sweet.
I would often see him alone or with his wife and they would take the time to speak and I would tell them I how I knew them, and it brought back the memory of how I knew them and they would just smile.
