  2. I knew Nat at EPA Region 7. Nat was a true warrior, mentor and a friend to me. He came to Region 7 on a mission to promote diversity and fairness at all levels in the Region. To be frank, many of us at Region 7 had never seen anyone accomplish as much as he did during his tenure at the Region. Nat was innovative, knowledgeable, a good person and down to earth. I offer my condolences to the Scurry family. Nat will be greatly missed but never forgotten. May God comfort you during this difficult time.

  3. You will be missed my Brother. Thank you for your thoughts and encouragement as a young Basilus for Beta Psi in “75”. We were so proud to have been able to represent the 7th District and winning the Step Competition to having Beta Psi represent in our National Conclave that happened to be in Atlanta the same year.

Then and there after you instilled the courage in us and others to pursue Excellence.

Thank you for your Purpose in teaching to continue to Raise the Bar. Excellence is a Starting point.

Until we meet in Omega Chapter, we’ll keep your Family and friends with extra UPLIFT and support.

I got to know young NAT as one of six passengers in his Neptune green 1955 chevy. He was a clear eyed, loquacious, young man full of promise.

He would go on to make a difference in the world in numerous ways. He was a good man of substance, integrity and was my Omega brother and friend.

He now feasts at The Lord’s Table, upon the provisions of his love and is anointed with The Holy Spirit and drinks of the cup of Salvation which is ever full.

I trust The Lord calls him friend .

  18. I am deeply saddened by the loss of our esteemed colleague and dear friend, Nat Scurry. Nat was an advisor and Senior Director for the Beta Psi 1923 foundation. Nat’s unwavering dedication and commitment to excellence were truly inspiring. He not only set high standards but showed us that excellence is merely the starting point, not the ultimate goal. His passion and leadership have left an indelible mark on our organization and on me personally.

Nat’s teachings and example will continue to guide us as we strive to honor his legacy. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him. May we find comfort in our memories and in the knowledge that Nat’s dedication to excellence will live on in our work.
