Dear family and friends, it is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the passing of our beloved Pharish Ignacio “PJ” Jeannis on Sunday, August 22, 2021.

He is survived by: his mother, Ruby M. Peterson; wife, Elashia Jeannis; his children; and in-laws, Gary and Faye Becks.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, at Leevy’s Funeral Home, 1831 Taylor Street, Columbia, SC 29201.

The family is receiving condolences at his mother’s home, 4450 Furman Field Road, Rembert, SC 29218.

  6. My prayers to the family, I worked with Sgt Jeannis at the
    ASGDC. He was a great person always there to assist his Officers when called. He really was one of the best and I truly am glad you were on my team. May the family God continue to give the family strength. Gone too Soon.

  7. I want to send my condolences to the Jeannis family. I had the opportunity to work with Pharish prior to me retiring from the ASGDC. He seemed to be a good person didn’t talk a lot but always made his presence notice when it was necessary. May God be the Jeannis family in their time of bereavement.

  11. Ruby, Elashia Jeannis and the Jeannis and Pinckney Family: We were deeply saddened and shocked at the passing of our beloved PJ. PJ was a special gentleman and loved by all. We are so blessed that God allowed PJ into our lives to bring joy and happiness. We will miss PJ dearly. Our prayers are with you and the children. God Bless You and keep you in his care.
