Mr. Walter Salley, Jr.

The precious gift of love in the person of Walter Salley Jr. was granted to the late Walter Salley, Sr. and Catherine Barker Salley, on December 29, 1935 in Allendale County, South Carolina. On Wednesday afternoon, July 21, 2021, he left these earthly shores, departing this mortal world. Mr. Walter Salley, Jr. was educated in the public schools of Allendale County, South Carolina. He was employed as a truck driver for 25 years, with Pan Reddi, where he retired. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, was baptized and became a member of Miller Swamp Baptist Church. He was well known throughout his community as Pops, and will be missed by all. He was a man of few words but with a heart of gold. Mr. Walter Salley, Jr. was a devoted husband, father, uncle, and friend. His witty and loving charm will truly be missed. He was the last to die in his immediate family. He was preceded in death by two daughters. Those left to cherish fond and precious memories of Walter Salley, Jr. are his loving wife, Lillie Salley; sons, Timothy Salley, Lemuel Salley, Ricky Robertson, and daughters, Cynthia Ann Salley, Melissa Hingleton, Olliemae (James) Stone, Mary Johnson, and Shelia Clyborn.
