Mr. Willie C. Jeffcoat, Jr. was born on November 12, 1952, in Columbia South Carolina, at Fort Jackson’s Moncrief Army Hospital. He was the beloved son of Willie Clay, Sr. and Addie Mae Mayers-Jeffcoat, both of Columbia.
Willie attended the public schools in Richland County including: Carver Elementary, W. A. Perry Middle, C. A. Johnson, and A. C. Flora High Schools. He enjoyed playing sports and continued well into his adulthood, competing in several softball leagues earning him numerous individual and team recognitions. His hobbies included his love of music and participation in social clubs. He loved watching football and was a die- hard Steelers fan
He was preceded in death by: his father, Willie C. Jeffcoat, Sr.; his mother, Addie Mae Mayers-Jeffcoat; his grandmother, Almenia Ruff; and a niece, April D. Jeffcoat.
Mr. Willie C. Jeffcoat, Jr. is survived by: his cherished wife who he affectionally called Sugar, Mary E. Jeffcoat; son, Charles Jeffcoat, Sr.; raised like his children, Lorraine Patrick and Jakiaus Hilton; four stepchildren, Thomas Hayes, Carry Hayes, Latasha Hayes, and Keisha Simpson; three sisters-in-law, Gloria (Wade) Lee, Dorothy Bethal, and Sharon Austin, all of Columbia, one brother-in-law, Marvin (Tracey) Hilton, of Charlotte, North Carolina; four brothers, Nathaniel (Onita) Jeffcoat, Billy A. (Lorraine) Jeffcoat, Paul A. (Barbara) Jeffcoat, Sr., and David L. (Alberda) Jeffcoat; one sister, Almenia (Alphonza) Dozier, all of Columbia South Carolina; one uncle, Charles (Chuck) Ruff; one aunt, Ruby Ruff; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of Columbia, SC; all of whom will miss him dearly.
