  2. My goodness! What can I say? Sis. Bowers was such a jewel. So many memories of my first encounter with her at Jones Tabernacle. She never met a stranger and she certainly made me feel welcomed. When I married Nokey, she said to me, “You know that’s my boy!” Such a fond memory. My heartfelt condolences to the family. My continued prayers for peace, strength and comfort as you navigate this road head during this most difficult time.

  6. My Condolences and Prayers to the family of Mrs. Antoinette Bowers. Your love one will surely be missed in the SatchelFord Terrace Community always willing to go the extra mile. The last time I talked to her was at the poll voting. We talked about our daughters and school which, she cherished very much as an Educator. Whenever I ran into her whether in the grocery store or in passing in our cars, she would always speak of her daughters and ask about my daughters. I will definitely miss seeing her beautiful smile. Take your rest Neighbor resting in the bosom of the Lord. Rest in Peace.😇

  7. My sincere condolences to Mr. Jesse, and daughters Valencia, Natalie, Jessica, and Crystal. “Momma” Bowers was my coworker when we both worked at Greenview ES (we were across the hall from each other). She always had such a sweet and caring spirit along with a smile that would light a room and uplift my spirit. She always talked about her family – she loved, loved, loved Mr. Jesse, those daughters, and those grandbabies!! We often shared stories about our children and grandchildren. We periodically checked on each other once she left Greenview. I most definitely will miss our talks. I am so glad that she enriched my life with her love. Furthermore, I am blessed to now have another angel watching over me from above.

  18. My family grew up right across the street from Ms. Antoinette and her family. I have such fond memories growing up in that neighborhood. Summer time was always so much fun. And me and my sister spent time across the street playing at Ms. Antoinettes’s house. My favorite memory was playing on the swing set with Jessica and Crystal, and I even remember Jessica’s birthday party in the backyard. She was like a second mom to us and was always smiling. I can never forget that smile that would light up a room. And she was also funny. She would say whatever was on her mind. Yes, I remember that as a little girl too. She was just amazing!

My heartfelt condolences to Jesse, Valencia, Natalie, Jessica, and Crystal. We love you. Thank you for sharing your mom with us and letting us be daughters # 5 and 6. Those memories will always be with us. And we thank God that she is resting and is now in His presence.

  21. We share our deepest sympathies for your loss. Aunt Toni’s kindness was a gift to everyone, a gentle and constant light that made every room she entered feel warmer and more welcoming. She had a beautiful spirit—and a way of making everyone feel truly seen, heard, and deeply loved.

Amongst our happiest memories are the summers we spent visiting with Aunt Toni and the family in Columbia, we would excitedly countdown our arrival date. During those visits and throughout our lives we came to know that Aunt Toni was a reflection of love, joy, and kindness.

She was a blessing to us all, and we know that she has found eternal peace and rest in God’s loving embrace. But she will most certainly be missed.

Please know that we are thinking and praying for you.

“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them”. 1 John 4:16

I offer the 1993 song for comfort by Kirk Franklin “Till we meet Again “ -May His peace be with you ’til we meet again, ‘til we reach that distant shore; and we’ll shed a tear no more. May He give strength to endure, ‘til we meet again. One of these old days. As God keeps His loving arms around you all, and us all. Loving you with the love of God.
