To the family of Bertha Amaker Taylor:

Bertha, as a member of the Booker T. Washington HS family of Columbia, SC (530 Marion St),
we all were friends as members of the Marching 100 band.

I’m sure I met Bertha early in my tenure at BTW because we all lived in the Waverly community & would walk home from band practice often.

She was “crazy & funny” & kept us laughing, and a good friend.

We only learned of her transition just in time to incude her in the annual Ecumenical Service that our BTW Foundation observes annualy.
While her transition was a surprise to all of us, she was among the many memorialized
on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024 at First Calvary Baptist Church.

The BTW family share with you as your dearly departed loved one was laid to rest.

To God be the glory for the things He has done!
