I am saddened to hear and read about Ms. Bessie’s passing. I will miss hearing her voice and seeing during our zoom meetings. Just to see her at the “ Center” was a blessing. Our Seniors will miss her presence and continue to remember how much she touched our hearts.💕 We , The James B. Mama Bessie…You have been my 2nd mama for as long as I can remember. You never hesitated to treat me any different than the rest of your kids…by showing me your love, friendship, or butt whoopings
(Or your amazing ability to throw a shoe around a corner to hit me when I was being dumb)! Your kind heart, welcoming nature, and love made such a difference in my life and I will forever be grateful…grateful that I had the opportunity to call you my second mama…my friend…my family…and now one of God’s most beautiful and important angels. I will miss you with my whole heart now and forever. Rest Easy Mama Bessie. You deserve it more than anyone. I love you to the moon and back. Until we meet again in the promised land, I will love, miss, and cherish you with all my heart ❤️!
I will sorely miss you my beloved friend. It was an honor and privilege to have you in my life. I will keep all the memories we shared in my heart. To a dear friend, we have had some fun time hanging out on the BBC trips and cruses. You will be missed.
“Ma Bessie” as I affectionately called her, was a Sweetheart and a “fireball” who loved Jesus. I loved her, had lots of fun and laughter with her, and sang with her on the #CBJS and the Effie Boykin Sanctuary Choir. Her children and grandchildren were near and dear to her heart. I’m saddened to hear of her passing.
