Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

I will forever remember my Aunt Kathy as a person who was comforting. Her loving nature was something to be admired. I will always have fond memories of spending time as a youngster in Laurens at Grandmama’s and Grandad’s house. I will remember her teaching me and my sister how to bake some of her favorite desserts. The memory of her playing the piano for my brother. So many wonderful memories that I will always treasure. I miss you so much Aunt Kathy, and I know one day I will see you again.
    Love your niece,

  7. Ms. Kathy,
Thank you for being such a kind person. You helped me with Debs and Masters reprsenting St. Paul this year, you were always so kind and I have loved working with you veterans day programs and other things. Thank you for coming to both me and my brother’s graduation party. You were so excited when I told you I got accepted into Wofford. You called me when I went to TX to do an internship for the Animal planet. You came to my golf event at Heathwood Hall. You were very excite about the Christian curriculum I had at Heathwood. I will never forget your kindness. I’m at college and can’t back home but I want you to know that I love you and will always remember how kind you are. Mr. James, thank you for being so kind, I had so much fun with you for the YPD trip. I want to say to your children that I am so sorry for your loss. I am very sad right now but I will make sure that I excel at Wofford to make you proud of me. I love you so much. Rest in heaven. Love always

  8. Ms. Kathy, words cannot express the sorrow that I am feeling right now. We were just discussing Christmas music over a week ago. You were just an amazing human and I loved talking about “music,” everything from vocal pedagogy and music theory. I will miss you. Rest in peace and I’m sure you are already playing the piano for Jesus right now. To the Fuller and Williams family, lean not to thine own understanding. Thank you for sharing your angel with us.

  34. To the Fuller family, my condolences to you. I worked with Kathy for many years at CrossRoads, and our last year before retirement, we worked next door to each other. Many afternoons we spent together after students had gone home. We talked about student concerns, our families, her music ministry, her outlook on life, how to arrange our classrooms, etc. We became very close, and my heart aches knowing she is gone. James, Jamie, and Justine – Kathy loved you with every fiber of her being and I hope you find comfort that she is now in the arms of her Savior. So many lives she impacted and though she is gone, we will always remember her sweet spirit and gentleness. The world is better for having had Kathy walk among us.

  43. I dearly loved my Aunt Kathy. There was no one like her, I’ve ever met. She taught me how to love and appreciate art and was my very first teacher of crafting. She made me my first set of Strawberry Shortcake dolls by hand. Kathy loved the process of creating, and she expressed the spirit of our family by showing me that love is in the details that we can see with our eyes, feel in a warm hug, taste in her homemade delicacies, and hear in her joyful music through song on piano and church organ. Kathy was the very soul in our rituals, through and through. For over 40 years she patiently and diligently guided children through equations, but more importantly, she lived by example in being a steadfast rock in all our lives. She inspired generations to explore the fun of mathematics & education–to go places far and wide, while Kathy lived close to her friends and family near her hometown. Kathy was the most dependable teacher, mother, and friend. To me, Kathy was the aunt I could try and pretend to be when my time came to be “auntie”. I will forever miss watching her create magic for us all. I will miss her unique laugh that drew us all in. I will miss not being able to learn from her next set of quiet lessons, seeing her vibrant colors, or feeling the love of each texture or pattern sewn. Kathy was the best friend and most loved family for many of us. Oh, Kathy! You were here for a short time and we felt how strong you were for Jamie and Justina and James! Rest in Power and Peace, Aunt Kathy. I miss you. –your niece, Amber Gale
