I didn’t get to remind you one last time, “God got you”. But God makes no mistakes and I’m glad I got to spend some valuable time with her at the right time in my life. As a virtue woman she showed me love with grace and was there for me when I lost my Mother. She prayed with me and for me and that was the greatest gift of all. My life has changed for the better in just the short time that I got to work as her fill-in caregiver. I pray that the peace of God that passes all understanding will overtake the family now. She was not with her longer because I changed job locations. Mrs. Washington was more than a caregiver. She was a grandmother to her babies and like a mother to me, giving the best child rearing and marital insights. She and Deacon Washington were always special to us. I’m so saddened by this news. I briefly cared for Mrs. Washington and it was such a pleasure getting to know her and the family. I appreciate her always welcoming me into her home and talking to me about God. She once asked me if I would be willing to attend her church, even just for one service.
