I am so heartbroken at the passing of both David and LouWanda. Loopie, my nickname for her, and I worked together at the Federal Reserve Bank for many years. She was such a kind spirited and beautiful person. I always looked forward to receiving the various cards throughout the year- always signed love David & LouWanda. I always ended my cards to Loopie and David with, “let’s do lunch soon”. Soon never happened but God knows best and we will meet again, by and by. I will forever miss her kind spirit. Love always, Loretta Young

  3. My condolences to the family, children, siblings and all who knew LouWanda. We were schoolmates and friends many years ago and my memories of her are of her lovely, sweet personality. I can’t remember a cross word or unhappy expression ever coming from her. May God comfort you in this great loss.

  10. David and LouWanda left footprints of kindness and love, courage and compassion, humor and inspiration, joy and faith. Even though they are now gone, we can still look and clearly see the trail they left behind- a trail bright with hope and love.
We were long time friends, college classmates and marching band members at Winston-Salem State University. They will truly be missed profoundly.
Prayers to the family and may they rest in eternal peace.
