She and I go back to 1980 when together we started the Epworth Parent/Infant Education Program for little ones with special needs. 25. To the Scarborough Family – Carl, Joette, Norris “Rev. Jimmy” & Mia: I will always cherish the memories of your Mom’s impact on my life at Brookland Baptist Church’s Young Women’s Auxiliary (YWA) and the Women’s ministry. The “Mother-to-Daughter” gatherings in her home, filled with wisdom and delicious home-cooked meals, will forever hold a special place in my heart. Your Mom’s selflessness, words of encouragement, and infectious laughter never failed to brighten my day. Her kindness and genuine care deeply inspired me, and I am grateful to have known such an amazing woman. Thank you for sharing Mother Barbara Scarborough with us. May God continue to comfort, strengthen, keep, and bless you today and always. Sending love, hugs, prayers, and condolences to you all.

  32. Rev. Scarborough,Joeette, and the entire family it was with deep regret that I learned of the the passing of your Mom and want you to know that my heart and prayers are with you. I had the pleasure of meeting her many years ago and she impressed me as being wonderful mother and
a women if faith who reared her children in the fear and admonition of God a characteristic that I know you both possessed and I’m confident that the same can be said for all of her children. May God grant you comfort today and the the days ahead as life for you all won’t be the same without her presence. But the fund memories of her will help you find some sense of solace.

  33. Rev. Scarborough and family. It sadden me to hear of the loss of your mother. I pray that you will operate in your faith and that even though the pain of this loss is seemingly too much to bare, God see that pain and hurt and will fill that void. We pray God will strengthen you and carry you through this most difficult time and I encourage you to remember that your mom “was” and do not dwell on the fact that she is no more. Carry her always in your heart and know that God yet loves you as he did your mom. To be absent of the body is to be in the company of the Lord. Isn’t that a good thought. Now my friend, take care. Cry if you must, but never doubt God. He knew what he was doing when he gathered his flower for the day. Love you my brother in Christ and will continue to pray for you and your family.
