Mrs. Goodwin & Family. It’s taken a minute for me to write this. You having known me before I knew myself and it has been really heart breaking to know you’re no-longer there. Coming home to visit my parents and knowing you and Mr. Goodwin would be there to say, “Hey Buddy! How is the family?,” was always something I look forward to and expected. Now both voices are silent. I haven’t told Mom you’ve gone to visit the angels but I know she knows. The day after you left us she said, I meant to tell my neighbor (which is how she would reference you) something but I can’t now cause it’s too late.” Yes, she knows! I know one day all of you will meet again in the “Great Beyond” where you will be there to sit on the wall along the Jordan River just to sit and laugh and joke and talk of the old days. We all miss you especially Sylvia who would wave to you each morning as she left for work. Both our porches are empty now in the evening as you pass by our earthly homes but we feel you’re living a restful and peaceful eternal life with our “Heavenly Father”.
God Bless you, Mrs. Goodwin until such time we meet again.
Love You.

As my elementary school teacher, her and my mom became close friends.
My mom would often come and sit with her and help her clean chitlins. She said they would work all day long on cleaning them and then cooking.
She made such an impact on so many kids!!! We still talk about her to this day.
My mom got sick and then covid, my mom hadn’t been able to see her in the past two years.
She was talking about her today and I googled…and found this. My mom is heartbroken.
One thing for sure and two things for certain…she loved her son and grandsons.
Heaven has a new Angel, Aunt Margaret. They are rejoicing and my heart is saddened. She was the sweetest spirit, loving, giving and kind. I will miss her dearly, my favorite aunt. The many times we’ve spent together; she and I, the boys and my grandbabies – the joy, the laughter, the fun. We will hold these memories in our hearts. A woman of God who loved serving the church – she loved St. Mark. The family Oral Historian – my God what will we do now. Rest now Aunt Margaret – you already knew I loved you – if not every day – every other day.

Mrs. Goodwin was a sweet and dear neighbor. Her humorous personality will always be beacon to light up the way. Peace and blessings of love for all of her family. Amen.
My deepest condolences to Arthur and family. I was truly saddened to hear of Margaret’s passing. She was such a beautiful person who always greeted you with a smile. Hold memories of her close to your heart for they will be comforting during your time of sorrow. Just remember that there is no sadness Jesus can’t feel and no sorrow he can not heal.

Sisters Margaret loved talking about her family first, her years at Benedict College and then, her children in her class down in the county. I will miss sitting out on her front porch and hearing her laughter. God bless you family.
Sincere condolences to Arthur, Jr. And his family. I do have sweet memories of your mom. I even remember attending your parents weddings. May you feel God’s loving presence and receive His peace. Special thought and love for you and family.
She lived a beautiful life. To our Great Cousin from Rebecca Noble’s children, grandchildren and a host of family, rest well until that Great getting up morning.
The love for Aunt Margaret cannot be measured by words of expression.
She was a loving Christian lady and served the community.
To the family members be blessed and safe.
Rest In Peace Mrs. Goodwin. I remember her teaching at Carver Elementary School when I was in second and third grade. She was a very nice person, even as we crossed path later on she still remain the same sweet, and very kind person. My condolences to family.
Rest In Peace Mrs.Goodwin🌹
So sorry to hear of the passing of my cousin/best friend. We both taught second grade at Webber School and was known as Lil Miss Goodwin and Big Miss Goodwin. Even after we retired we still communicated. She will truly be miss. Until we meet again.
